$1400 bonus on Dec. 8

A one-off bonus payment of $1400 will be made to single aged-pensioners in Australia before Christmas. Couples will receive $2100. The Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, said it was to "strengthen the Australian economy in the face of the worst global financial crisis since the Great Depression". Click here for more

The Department of Veterans' Affairs has released the 2008 edition of You and Your Pension.
